Support Global Motherhood
Chantal Anderson
Developing countries bear 99% of the maternal mortality burden, but for this Bangladeshi girl, the future is looking brighter. Bold efforts by Bangladesh to reduce maternal mortality and improve reproductive health services in recent years have led to a decrease in maternal mortality. Unlike many of its South-Asian neighbors, it appears that the country will reach Millennium Development Goal 5 by 2015. MAMA shines a spotlight on what is working to improve maternal health outcomes and how we can help. Investing in MAMA is a first step!
